Ready to take a Fertility Enhancing Challenge?
I just came back from Calgary and it was an incredible time. I feel so blessed and deeply grateful to be able to share my experience with others to help them heal and find peace. I realize that in helping others find peace on their fertility journey they begin to transform their experience of everything that occurs around them. In finding peace many of them become pregnant with what seems like less effort.
If you were to find this deep sense of peace I am speaking about you would regain a sense of control through learning to trust yourself. In a place of peace and knowing, you don't take things personally, you can make informed decisions without doubting yourself and you can live your life day to day without feeling like you are losing your mind.
So how to you do it?
You use highly effective tools that will help you:
-identify emotions through awareness, acceptance and action ~ allowing you to find relief quickly
-learn to identify and change limiting thoughts and beliefs
-recognize and dissolve fear and doubt ~ subconscious fear can be an obstacle (eg. fear of pregnancy or childbirth)
-make positive lifestyle changes that will decrease stress and anxiety and increase self esteem and confidence
-easily shift from chaos to peace utilizing voice guided meditations and deep relaxation exercises
-make healthy food choices that will enhance your chances of conceiving
If this all sounds like something you would like to do then stay tuned to my blog for more information. You might even want to become a follower so you are sent a notice when I add a post in my blog.
Together we will support each other through all these changes. While many of the tools I share will be simple they are often challenging to begin using. I will be here for you and doing it with you all the way.

Off to Calgary
Well I am leaving for Calgary in the morning to teach my Yoga for Fertility and Fitness Fertility Instructor courses. It feels good to be spreading my work across Canada. It turns out one instructor is coming from Saskatchewan as well. I have had many women calling from Calgary looking for Yoga for Fertility classes in their area so it feels good to be helping them by training others to teach these incredibly healing classes.
I am amazed at the transformation that occurs even after 1 or 2 classes. They leave the class feeling heard, understood and relieved. As women and couples get together and share their challenges, heartaches and celebrations, there is such a profound level of healing that occurs. They experience a deep sense of belonging and knowing that they are not alone. They remember what it feels like to live their life with HOPE and FAITH. They begin to feel it again, deep in their body, mind and soul. There are no real words that can describe it but I will continue to do my best to write about it.
I have been chosen to do this work. I have a deep inner calling. It is the music that is in me and I am ready to play it for the world. I inspire and empower healing, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

Yoga for Fertility Handbook
Yoga for Fertility was conceived through my own personal struggle with fertility. The last 7 years have been an emotional roller coaster ride that affected every area of my life. My yoga practice continues to allow me to live through my fertility journey with trust and faith.
When I began practicing Yoga for Fertility I discovered an incredible gift both physically and emotionally. I was able to release all the built up emotions and tension in my body from the years of stress and anxiety related to my fertility challenges. I no longer feel defeated and helpless. In fact I have never felt more in tune with my mind, body and soul as I do today.
I have an inner strength and trust that walks with me, surrounding me and supporting me through every situation. I am at home in my heart and I hope that this book will help others find the deep sense of inner peace that I have found.
It is with much gratitude and excitement that I release my book to the world.

Discovering Obstacles
I have been helping clients discover their fears about fertility, pregnancy and parenthood. It is amazing how we can actually stand in our own way of our deepest desires whether that be having a baby, money or even career. On some level (usually subconsciously) we are afraid of what we want and often don't feel we deserve it.
I was doing a one-on-one yoga therapy session with a fertility client this week and she suddenly felt a sense of hope again. As we explored that further she discovered that is wasn't about her age, it was about her heart. She needed to heal her heart and begin to mother herself before she could mother her child. The heart chakra is an energy center in the chest and middle back that is associated with Love and Acceptance. The ability to give love but also to receive love. Interestingly she was open to receive love but not open to give. This awareness surprised her at first but when we explored it deeper she was afraid to love with her whole heart because that would open her up to more hurt. It was also more about her ability to give love to Self.
Another client this week discovered that she was afraid to get pregnant. There is a powerful law that says - what you fear you will create. Our bodies are responding to our fearful thoughts as perceived real life threats. I read a study about a women who had a deep desire to have a baby but she had a deep fear of getting pregnant. The fear would override her desire and the body's response was to close the fallopian tubes during ovulation. Our bodies don't know the difference between a real life threatening situation and a thought of fear or a perceived threat. The body will respond as if your life depended on it.
As soon as you create awareness about your fears, you can begin to heal them and shift your perspective. Once you discover what your self imposed obstacles are, it is important to stay away from blaming yourself. Instead look at it as a gift to heal a deeper part of you. Practice acceptance "I am where I am and it's ok" "I am afraid and it's ok". Now where do I go from here - no judgment, no blaming, no guilt
I am here, now what can I do to shift this.
This is why I love doing private yoga therapy sessions - we can get right in there and release these obstacles on a mental, emotional and physical level. The healing occurs at the level of the soul. It is transformational and I am grateful to be witness to such incredible miracles.

The biggest gift in my fertility journey
I can say without a shadow of doubt that the biggest gift I received on my fertility journey in the last 8 years was my miscarriage in 2001. Although at the time it was the most painful experience, both physically and emotionally, it was a true gift, because it saved my life. I don't think I would be here today without that pivotal life experience. It woke me up! Suddenly I could clearly see the life I was living and the path I was choosing. It was a dark, lonely and self destructive path, one that would have surely lead to my death. If I had continued down that path for one or two more years, I would not be here today. My body could not have survived the abuse, pain and suffering I was putting myself through.
The year 2001 had such an impact on me. Becoming sober, my miscarriage, the death of my father, the events of 9/11 and on a brighter note, I met my husband. When I look back at the events that year, I realize just how much of a wake up call it was. I was living a life so deeply attached to my pain and suffering that it was difficult to imagine living any other way. It was such a big part of who I was, yet I struggled with knowing deep down that there was another way. I would occasionally here this small voice inside that would tell me "You deserve more than this. There is a kinder path". Thankfully I began to listen and believe!
Here is a poem I wrote a couple of months after my miscarriage. They are the same words I read to everyone at my father's funeral a few months later.
Trust in Love
People come in and out of our lives everyday.
Some impact our lives more than others.
There are those that touch us so powerfully
that we will never be the same again.
We need to cherish those experiences and
appreciate the lessons in our lives.
Each experience is an opportunity to be human.
Each lesson is a step to becoming more aware.
It is human to feel pain, fear and guilt.
It is also human to feel love.
It is a shame to see the walls of protection
surrounding each of us.
They are only shielding out the love we all deserve.
Being open to experience is being willing to feel.
To feel fear, to feel pain and more importantly
to feel love.
Trust in the experiences of your life and you shall
bathe in the love that surrounds you.
